Brentwood, CA · Contra Costa · Operator-owned fleet

Brentwood charter bus rental from the company that knows the route.

Brentwood sits at the far end of CA-4, about 65 minutes from our Hayward yard on I-880 and CA-4, with a second yard in South San Francisco. No marketplace, no subcontractor, no 20–40% broker margin taking a cut of a trip we are the ones actually driving. Out here that matters, because the operator who quotes the deadhead is the operator who has to eat it if the estimate is wrong.

The runs our drivers already know

Distances are road miles from the City Park bandstand on Oak Street. Times are typical off-peak, before the CA-4 bypass and Vasco Road stack up. These are runs we quote for East County groups every season.

Why it matters who owns the bus

Direct operator vs. national booking marketplace

Most sites ranking for "charter bus Brentwood" do not own a single vehicle. They resell operators like us and add a margin. Here is what changes when you skip that layer.

What Brentwood charters typically cost

Published ranges let you budget before you pick up the phone. Every quote is itemized to the hour and the mile and does not move after booking unless the itinerary does.

Minibus, 24–35 passengers$150–$175/hr

Driver included. Five-hour minimum, so a half day runs $750–$875. Vineyard weddings, farm tours, golf outings and BART runs.

Motorcoach, 56 passengers$190–$245/hr

Driver included. Quoted per itinerary on top of the hourly rate because deadhead, tolls and return time change the total.

Recurring shuttle programContract rate

Standing weekly or daily routes for Brentwood employers, schools and communities. Monthly invoicing and net terms.

Always included: driver, fuel, standard insurance, live tracking. Quoted separately: tolls, parking, driver overnight on multi-day trips, gratuity if you choose to add it.

Brentwood FAQ

Answers from the people who dispatch the buses

How much does a charter bus cost in Brentwood?

A half-day (5-hour) 24-35 passenger minibus in Brentwood typically runs $750–$875 including driver. A 56-passenger motorcoach is quoted per itinerary. Brentwood is the far end of our service area, so the drive out from the Hayward yard is priced honestly on the quote instead of being hidden in a padded hourly rate.

Can you get a full-size coach into a Brentwood vineyard or farm property?

Sometimes, and we check first. Several Brentwood wedding and u-pick properties have gravel aprons or tight gates where a 56-passenger coach cannot turn. In those cases we run 24-35 passenger minibuses in two laps rather than promise something the driver cannot deliver on the day.

How long does it take to reach San Francisco from Brentwood by bus?

Plan on about 85 minutes off-peak and considerably more in the commute window, since CA-4 has to feed I-680 or the CA-24 corridor before anything else happens. For an evening event in the city we usually leave Brentwood earlier than customers expect and hold at the venue.

Do you handle school and grad-night trips for Liberty Union schools?

Yes. Playoff travel, band moves, field trips and overnight grad runs, on coaches with luggage bays and restrooms, driven by employees enrolled in our DOT drug-and-alcohol program. The certificate of insurance goes to the district the same business day.

Are you a broker or the actual operator?

We own the buses. Umbrella Global Bus runs its own dispatch, its own shop and its own drivers out of South San Francisco and Hayward under CPUC TCP 0037963 and USDOT 3126263. Your call goes to the person who assigns the vehicle, not to a call center that resells the job.

Do you have wheelchair-accessible vehicles for a Brentwood group?

Yes. Each of the three 69-passenger double-deckers has a wheelchair lift and a restroom, and one minibus is lift-equipped. Give dispatch the number of wheelchair positions when you book so the right unit is on the schedule from the start.
